1. Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee Land Lease.

The Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT) currently operates a 14,175 sq. ft. site adjacent to MDHA’s Andrew Jackson property.  The Andrew Jackson Club is the largest of BGCMT’s 12 clubs and it served approximately 650 members per year prior to COVID.  BGCMT has plans to renovate its existing facility and add approximately 3,200 sq ft to the rear of the property.  This addition will serve as a Teen Enrichment Center, allowing for engaging programming, social and emotional wellbeing support, workforce readiness, coding/technology training, and a range of other STEAM programming. In order to accommodate this expansion, BGCMT is requesting to lease approximately 0.18 acres from MDHA.

  1. Amendment to Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan.

A proposed amendment to the Rental Assistance Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Administrative Plan is being presented to the MDHA Board for approval. MDHA was awarded 198 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs) under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 for homeless individuals and families. The EHV program provides for alternative operating requirements related to eligibility and verification requirements that are different from the regular HCV program and requires PHAs administering EHVs to amend their administrative plan to reflect these alternative operating requirements.
