MDHA will open its waiting lists for two elderly properties on a first-come, first-served basis in January 2019.
Online only applications will be accepted for Edgefield Manor beginning at noon Jan. 15, 2019, and the waiting list for this property will remain open indefinitely. Online only applications will be accepted for Carleen Batson Waller Manor from noon Jan. 17, 2019 until 3 p.m. Jan. 24, 2019.
Both Edgefield Manor and Carleen Batson Waller Manor are elderly properties. Applicants must be at least 62 years old to qualify.
Applications will be accepted online only and can be submitted 24 hours a day during the open application period at www.nashville-mdha.org (click on the button that says Apply for Affordable Housing). A valid email address is required, and applicants will be notified by email when their application is received.
The new online only application, which was created in 2018, is more extensive than the previous online only application and will require additional time and information. Those interested in applying may view a sample of the new application by clicking here. This will allow applicants to gather the information needed to complete the application ahead of time.
Assistance with the application will be provided by Catholic Charities of Tennessee from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday during the open application period at their C.E. McGruder Family Resource Center at 2013 25th Ave. North.
Applicants interested in Edgefield Manor who are in need of assistance may also stop by the Edgefield Manor management office between 9 and 11 a.m. any Thursday beginning Jan. 17, 2019. The Edgefield Manor management office is located at 525 Shelby Ave.
Applicants interested in Carleen Batson Waller Manor who are in need of assistance may also stop by Carleen Batson Waller Manor management office between 9 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 or between 1 and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019. The Carleen Batson Waller Manor management office is located at 106 31st Ave. South.
Anyone needing access to a computer with internet service may visit a public library.
Each property has its own waiting list, so applicants interested in both properties will need to fill out two applications.
