MDHA will open its waiting list for Gernert Studio Apartments on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at noon Dec. 3, 2018 and continuing through 3 p.m. Dec. 10, 2018.

Gernert Studio Apartments is an elderly property. Applicants must be at least 62 years old to qualify.

Applications will be accepted online only and can be submitted 24 hours a day during the waiting list period at www.nashville-mdha.org (click on the button that says Apply for Affordable Housing). A valid email address is required, and applicants will be notified by email when their application is received.

The new online only application for 2018 is more extensive than the previous online only application and will require additional time and information. Those interested in applying may view a sample of the new application by clicking here. This will allow applicants to gather the information needed to complete the application ahead of time.

Assistance with the application will be provided by Catholic Charities of Tennessee from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday during the open application period at their C.E. McGruder Family Resource Center at 2013 25th Ave. North.

Applicants in need of assistance may also stop by the Gernert Studio Apartments management office between 1 and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 or Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. The Genert Studio Apartments management office is located at 1101 Edgehill Ave.

Anyone needing access to a computer with internet service may visit a public library.
