On April 2, 2020, Nashville-Davidson County received notification from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that special Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program funds in the amount of $1,549,066, as authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), were being allocated to Metro Nashville-Davidson County. These CARES Act Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG-CV) program funds are to be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) among individuals and families who are homeless or receiving homeless assistance and to support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.

The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) is soliciting applications from qualified nonprofit organizations and local government agencies for eligible activities to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness and affected by COVID-19 through funding under the ESG-CV program.

Interested applicants will need to email MDHA’s Construction Department at the following email address to gain access to the Request for Applications (RFA): dbaseheart@nashville-mdha.org.

Additionally, other requirements or restraints that may be imposed by HUD will be weighed in the decision.
