1. Martha O’Bryan – lease for employment center.

Martha O’Bryan is undertaking the design, financing, and construction of an approximately 32,000 square foot addition to its Faith building and a further 30,000 square feet of renovations. These will allow Martha O’Bryan to expand its services and programming for families, which will include an employment center. These developments are being financed through the New Markets Tax Credit program, which requires Martha O’Bryan to enter into a series of sub-leases of its 99-year ground lease with MDHA. Additionally, it is requested that the ground lease be amended to include a portion of the Martha O’Bryan site intended to be conveyed in a lease or lease amendment that cannot be located. MDHA is being asked to consent to the subleases, the lease amendment, and the use of the property as set forth in the subleases, subject to HUD approval.
