David Lawrence leads real estate activities for the global real estate firm Hines, overseeing development, acquisitions and new opportunities across asset classes. He has contributed to more than one million square feet of office, residential and mixed use development in Nashville and has spearheaded acquisition and origination efforts spanning multiple product types.
At Hines, David has led several projects, including The Finery and T3 Wedgewood Houston, a large-scale placemaking development featuring residential, retail and office components and recipient of NAIOP’s Mixed Use Project of the Year. He also served as project manager for 222, a 390,000-square-foot office and retail development in downtown Nashville. In addition, he has led the closing of multiple acquisitions and financings totaling more than $500 million.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Haverford College, a dual Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management and a Master of Science from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, where he graduated with distinction.
David was appointed to the board in November 2025. Current term ends November 2030.
