Shelby House, located at 402 Shelby Ave. in East Nashville, is now accepting online-only applications for its Project-Based Voucher (PBV) waiting list until further notice.
Similar to the Tenant-Based Voucher Program, the PBV program provides low-and moderate-income households with monthly rental assistance. However, PBV assistance is tied to particular units rather than to the family. Eligible families only receive assistance while living in the PBV unit. Property owners manage the PBV waiting lists and select families fill their vacancies. Once the property owner processes and approves an application, they send the applicants’ information to MDHA for final approval.
