MDHA celebrates LPN graduates | 2009-09-08
Participants in the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency's licensed practical nursing program recently honored four new graduates: Nikeia Jones, Emmanuel Mitchell, Ashlee Parker, and Marquitha Smith. Mitchell is the first male graduate of the program.

MDHA partners with the Tennessee Technology Center at Nashville, the Tennessee Department of Human Services, Davidson Partners for Community Health, and United Neighborhood Health Services to provide eligible public housing and housing choice voucher residents with LPN training. The first graduate completed the program in August 2008, and this group of four brings the total number of graduates to 10.
The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency is the public entity in Nashville and Davidson County charged with redeveloping underutilized and blighted properties, creating housing opportunities for Nashvillians, and nurturing Nashville's neighborhoods. The Agency was established in 1938.
